Does infomercial advertising work? |

Most people see infomercial advertising as a cheesy form of trying to sell something, and the general opinion is that they never work. Problem is, that most people when they are on their televisions will actually fall prey to the infomercial advertising and pay attention to the message - and that is why infomercial advertising works. It catches your eye, it has a good ability to suck you in.
So let's take a look at why it works that way.
It sucks you in with a unique product - most infomercials have a unique product they offer that you can't get anywhere else. This alone makes you curious and interested to see how it works. Creating a need, filling the need - a lot of people are unhappy with their lives or bodies, and infomercials take advantage of that by creating a need and then filling it. A good example is the fitness arena, where the infomercial advertising will make you feel out of shape by presenting good looking people, and then offering their product as a solution to becoming those people.
